Ocean Rafting offers two exciting day tour adventures, The Northern Exposure and Southern Lights, with each tour offering an exhilarating ride to Whitehaven Beach, pristine snorkelling reefs and guided National Parks walks. Ocean Rafting has access to iconic Hill Inlet, and snorkel sites at Hook and Border Islands ensure a memorable underwater experience. The fleet of semi-rigid inflatable vessels are super fast, allowing guests to experience a fun ride, adventure and education amongst the beauty of the Whitsundays. Groups may travel on Ocean Rafting's regular day tours or opt for a private charter, with each vessel carrying from 25 to 32 guests.

Established in 1855, the tranquil riverside City Botanic Gardens are Brisbane's original botanic gardens. Highlights include the colourful formal gardens, ancient trees, ornamental ponds, beautiful artwork, 23 species of bamboo and important historical sites relating to Brisbane's and Queensland's history.

The 56ha Brisbane Botanic Gardens, just seven kms from the city centre are Queensland's premier sub-tropical gardens. Arid, temperate and tropical natives and exotics thrive in Brisbane's balmy climate.

Visit the newly opened Visitor Information Centre where information on the gardens and the Mt Coot-tha precinct walking and riding trails and picnic areas can be found. Highlights of the gardens are the Bonsai House, Japanese Garden, Tropical Dome and the world's largest collection of Australian native plants displayed in a bushland setting. There is a Children's Playground and the Kitchen in the Gardens where you can view cooking demonstrations.

Ocean Safari offers an exhilarating ride to snorkel the untouched Great Barrier Reef off the Daintree Coast at Cape Tribulation. This half day eco-tour visits two different reef destinations, each with an extraordinary array of marine life and coral species. After a 25 minute ride, guests are ready to swim with turtles and snorkel the pristine reef locations. On most days the rainforest can be seen along the mainland beach whilst snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef. Ocean Safari takes a maximum of 25 passengers, allowing guests to experience tropical paradise and the pleasure of a small group.

The museum complex features interesting & sometimes unique displays of artifacts connected with Isis district local history on show in an old school building, a mill cottage, a general store & the old Waluma post office. Featured in the ground is a Rotunda, old farming equipment, 2 locomotives & table & chairs for a great place to have a cuppa or picnic. Taylor Street coach parking is available. Tour groups most welcome. Museum is open 9am-12pm Monday to Friday. Other times by appointment.

Devonshire teas are available but bookings are essential.
